Blazer – Urban Outfitters

Turtleneck – Aritzia

Knit Tank – Aritzia

Pants – Aritzia Coulomb Pant

Nothing like watching the leaves change colors and feeling a cool, crisp breeze in the air to remind you that fall is officially here! 🙂 I love fall, it is definitely one of my favorite seasons because it calls for floppy wool hats, hot lattes and warm, chunky scarves! For this outfit I decided to play up the idea of layering pieces for fall. I paired a rustic orange, knit tank on top of a cream colored turtleneck. I love turtlenecks, especially for fall because they are the perfect layering piece, you can put them underneath a crew neck sweater or you can put a tee on top of it, the possibilities are truly endless! Turtlenecks are also really comfy and a good way to stay warm on a chilly, fall afternoon. This is the Hackney turtleneck from Aritzia and I absolutely love it. It is super comfy and I find that it fits perfectly and does not stretch out after you wear it a few times. One thing that I look for in a turtleneck is the way it actually fits around your neck. If the fabric around your neck is too tight, it can be quite uncomfortable. This is why it’s good to go with a stretchy, breathable fabric that won’t make you feel restricted or uncomfortable! Another trend that I absolutely adore for fall are wide legged pants. These pants are both comfy and chic and they are easy to style. For these pants, I paired them with a heeled ankle boot, to make my look a bit more dressy. To finish it off, I paired it with a black, oversized blazer to polish off my look and to keep me warm for when it got colder at night. This blazer also allows this look to transition from a daytime look to a nighttime look.

What I love most about this outfit is the fact that it showcases the art and technique of layering by utilizing simple pieces. These simple, everyday pieces can be layered on top of each other to create a multitude of different looks, making your wardrobe more versatile and allowing you to do more with less. Add in a floppy hat, some heels and a simple necklace and you have a completely polished look from head to toe! Hope you guys enjoyed this post and as always let me know what you guys think of this outfit in the comments! 🙂
