Back to School: Part 1

The nights are getting colder, the days are getting shorter and slowly the leaves are changing colors. Fall is around the corner and it means that it’s almost time to go back to school! The end of summer can always be so bittersweet, you have to hang up your bikini and trade it in for a book bag and some books. But back to school can also be exciting, you get to reunite with friends and meet new people! Even though it is sad to say goodbye to summer, fall can be amazing for many reasons. I love fall because it means you get to wear wool hats, chunky scarves and layer pieces together for the perfect outfit. The perfect cure for the back to school blues, is the perfect outfit! Over the next few posts, I will focus on the perfect outfits for back to school! Take a look! šŸ™‚

Dress – Brandy Melville

Turtleneck – Aritzia

Boots – thrifted or similar here

For my first back to school outfit, I decided to go for a layered look by wearing this plaid dress with a mustard turtleneck underneath. I am obsessed with the color mustard and with plaid prints, especially for fall! Mustard is an amazing color that can be paired with so many other colors, patterns and prints, making it a staple for any back to school wardrobe! Mustard is a really great color to work with and it can brighten any outfit, it works well with neutrals and prints, making it easy to style. Plaid prints are also amazing because they are so versatile and can be used to create so many different looks. Plaid can be grungy, edgy, preppy and so much more! It is a great print to have in your closet because it can create so many different looks and is perfect for any fall wardrobe! To finish off this outfit, I paired it with a big, wool hat and little, lace-up ankle booties. This outfit will allow you to go back to school in style and will hopefully make going back to school a little more exciting! Let me know what you think of this back to school look, I would love to hear from you guys! And stay tuned for part 2…coming soon! šŸ™‚
